I’ve been working in AEMG for over two years now, and over that time have witnessed some great changes and reforms that have help establish our teaching program as one of the best. All the subjects I teach including English language speaking, Australian culture, University preparation and intensive IELTS training have all seen considerable changes that are aimed at helping students study and live abroad and use the English that they’ve learnt throughout our program.
The classroom environment provides a learning atmosphere and a platform to display their English skills. This is by the teacher not just giving the students orders and word lists to memorize, but by guiding them through the learning process and making it fun to learn. In this way, the students come to each of my classes with pure enthusiasm and an eagerness to learn. Then, with me giving them a few instructions, they have formed groups and have started discussing the topics given in detail and by the end of the lesson have developed strong opinions and know the right way to express that opinion. These are the main reasons that the classroom environment within our programs offers students the best chance to use their English once they have graduated.
Another great aspect that directly influences the classroom environment is the management team and the teaching staff quality. All teachers, manager and even the part-time co-workers all understand the responsibilities we have to the students, and thus understand the roles they can undertake in the process of the program. I must admit, the organization and preparation that me and my colleagues do is a collaborative process that involves coordinating class material to match the topics we teach in the classroom. We live by the slogan of ‘Together we stand, divided we fall’ and this really shows, because without the ongoing support from fellow teachers the classes wouldn’t be as exciting and comprehensive as they are. So, with the combination of the great office environment and the great classroom environment it is really beneficial equally to everyone including the students, teachers, and management staff. Working at AEMG and seeing the constant effort, feedback and improvements made across all the departments to ensure our program students graduate of the highest quality has been a really worth while experience and an absolute pleasure for me to be involved in. I look forward to working in AEMG and its bright future with the highest passion. |
